Nvidia announces GeForce RTX 3050 for $ 249 and GeForce RTX 3090 Ti with 450W TDP

The long-awaited GeForce RTX 3050 will see the light of day on January 27. The card, which was initially to carry 2560 computing units and later talked about an increase – perhaps up to 3072 using a larger GA106 core – eventually remains on the smaller GA107 core, but with the full number of 2560 computing units.

The 128bit bus is equipped with 8 GB 14GHz GDDR6, which makes it the lowest model in the series Ampere suitable for mining.

The power supply is provided by a classic 8-pin connector, TDP is set to 130 watts. The $ 249 suggested retail price is very reasonable. However, given the card’s usability, this amount will not last long in real sales and will go steeply upwards (eg GeForce RTX 3060 at the official price of $ 329 is currently available on Amazon mostly in the range of $ 900-1100, on NewEgg on some models ~ $ 100 cheaper).

GeForce RTX 3090 Ti

The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti was just “officially tapped” (Nvidia’s senior vice president Jeff Fisher in the opening image). The following is confirmed: Reference form as for GeForce RTX 3090 (at least what can be judged from the picture), power ~ 40 TFLOPS (this would correspond to a boost of about 1860 MHz with 10752 active stream processors) and 24 GB 21Gb / s GDDR6X.

The other data in the table must still be considered unofficial (albeit probable). Nvidia will reveal more about the GeForce RTX 3090 at the end of January.
