Nvidia and AMD graphics prices start to drop to normal values

The shortage of components has not helped the hardware market at all, especially in the graphics card segment. These devices are currently one of the most sought after by consumers, especially by those who mine cryptocurrencies.

However, in addition to the lack of stock, shortages also led to a significant increase in the price of these products. However, recent information indicates that prices for Nvidia and AMD GPUs have already started to normalize to values from the beginning of the year.

As the saying goes, after the storm comes the calm. And it looks like that's what's happening in the world of the graphics card industry.

In other words, at a time when there is still much talk about the scarcity of components, it seems that the GPU market is showing some signs of recovery, both in terms of stock and also in terms of price.

Price of Nvidia and AMD GPUs starts to normalize

According to a recent survey by 3DCenter, the value of graphics cards from manufacturers Nvidia and AMD has already started to normalize in some stores in Europe. Furthermore, the availability of the stock of products also seems to be restoring.

As we've talked about here several times, the price of hardware has increased significantly this year to amounts virtually unaffordable by consumers. In some stores, for example, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti models were detected for almost €3,000.

As is known, the stock, especially of Nvidia printers, was significantly compromised due to the strong demand for this equipment for the mining of cryptocurrencies. But this situation got a little better with the launch of CMP boards, exclusive for this practice, and also with the launch of the RTX 30 LHR models with a hash rate limit.

Hash rate-limited graphics caused a drop in GPU requests for mining. As a result, traders lowered equipment prices. According to the data, until June 20, the GPUs had a reduction of up to 113% in value. But even so, the value of NVIDIA graphics is still around 91% above the manufacturer's suggested starting price.

The website VideoCardz created a table with the current values of the NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. And, according to the data, we can see that NVIDIA graphics prices are still high, even with the reduction.
