And the Food and Drug Authority in Saudi Arabia, in a tweet on “Twitter”, addressed some advice and instructions that must be taken into account.

  • Buy from trusted places and avoid street vendors
  • Stored in dry, airtight plastic bags
  • Disposal of them when insect infestations or traces of rodents appear
  • Preferably kept at low temperatures

The question remains, what are mycotoxins, or what is known as “aflatoxins”?

They are considered toxic compounds that are naturally produced by some types of fungi when the appropriate environmental conditions for their growth are available, such as temperature and the appropriate humidity during storage.

The Food and Drug Authority in Saudi Arabia stated that these mycotoxins are among the chemical pollutants that may cause diseases in humans when consumed.

Earlier, the Saudi Ministry of Health warned, through its official website, of an allergy to nuts, which are the most common allergens.

Most people with a nut allergy wonder if they can eat coconut and nutmeg.

Although it may cause allergic reactions in some, most people with nut allergies can safely eat coconut, but it is recommended that people with nut allergies consult a doctor first.

It is one of the types of spices extracted from the seeds of the nutmeg fruit, and it is not considered a type of nut, and it is often safe for people with nut allergies.
