Ingredients

  • 200 g farina
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 50 g donkey
  • 160 ml latte
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 sachet of yeast for sweets

For the “smart” ganache

  • 70 ml latte
  • 300 g of nutella
  • For coverage
  • 40 g chocolate flakes (or other coating)

PROCEDURE to prepare the Nutella, ginger and cinnamon cake with smart ganache

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and soften the butter. Then whip the eggs together with the sugar for about 10 minutes. Then add the butter, chocolate and milk, stirring slowly.

Now sift the flour together with baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, adding everything to the mixture, and then mix everything gently.

Grease and flour a 24 cm cake pan and pour all the dough. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

For the “smart” ganache, you can put Nutella and milk in a bowl, stirring vigorously and patiently, until you get a darker glaze. To taste, add more Nutella to get it even thicker or more milk to make it more liquid.

Sprinkle the cake, covering it as desired with some remaining chocolate flakes, with chopped hazelnuts or chopped walnuts. If you want to stuff it, increase the doses of the ganache.
