Sime Darby and five other producers banned in the US. Nutella will be without palm oil?
After Sime Darby Plantation received information about forced labor practices, Ferrero ordered the suspension of the supply of Ferrero products containing palm oil from the Malaysian manufacturer. Ferrero also said that only 0.25 percent. the demand for palm oil came from the Sime Darby Plantation and was not purchased directly from the producer. The Italian company ensures that it only uses palm oil from plantations that are certified for sustainable production and respect for human and labor rights.
