Nusron Wahid Calls for Evaluation of Permit Revocation at Diponegoro Museum

Jakarta

Secretary of the National Campaign Team (TKN) Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Nusron Wahid, said that the Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) National Team should evaluate the revocation of the ‘Usak Anies’ permit at the Diponegoro Museum, Yogyakarta. Nusron asked not to blame the TNI.

“There should be an evaluation, not blaming the TNI and positioning themselves as victims. Because this Diponegoro case is not the first. There have been other incidents where they also wanted to use state facilities,” said Nusron in a statement received, Tuesday (23/11/2024 ).

Nusron suspects that AMIN deliberately framed the use of the museum and felt wronged when the permit to use the Diponegoro Museum was revoked. According to him, this strategy is unethical.

“It’s also possible that this was by design, deliberately trapping. Now it has been revealed that they used the name of a third party so that the management did not know that the museum would be used by the campaign. After being discovered, their permit was revoked, instead they acted like they were being oppressed by the TNI, acting like victims. This strategy is unethical.” said Nusron.

Nusron I don’t want the TNI to continue to be blamed. Says the people will watch this election process.

“It’s a pity that our TNI continues to be blamed. The Indonesian people are also watching us because this is a contest to be the leader of the country. If the process of permitting the location was dishonest from the start, how can we lead the country. Ga danger tah?” concluded Nusron.

As is known, the permit for the ‘Desak Anies’ event at the Diponegoro Sasana Wiratama Museum, Yogyakarta, was revoked. The permit for the event was revoked because the Diponegoro Museum is an asset of the Indonesian Army.

“Yes, it is true, that the Prince Diponegoro Monument or known as Mondip is an asset of the TNI AD under Korem 072/Pamungkas,” said the Head of the TNI Public Information Center, Major General Nugraha Gumilar, to detikcomTuesday (23/1).

The Diponegoro Museum is managed by Korem 072/Pamungkas, the Wiratama Foundation and collaborates with the private sector. The revocation of permits for events at TNI asset locations is also to uphold the TNI’s neutrality in the 2024 elections.

“This is a form of the TNI’s commitment to neutrality in the 2024 elections, namely not providing TNI premises, facilities and infrastructure to candidate pairs and political parties to use as campaign tools,” he said.
