An Ohio nursing assistant filmed herself raping and sexually assaulting several elderly and dementia patients at the assisted living facility where she worked.
According to court records, the suspect identified as Tiara Lynn Ford, 23, was charged with one count of rape, a first-degree felony, and two counts of felony sexual infliction.
Her arrest came after authorities conducted a two-week investigation into the allegations, which included a series of “video recordings of Ford sexually assaulting elderly residents,” police said.
“Some of them couldn’t even speak,” police officer David McConnell told a local station.
The defendant used a cell phone to record herself committing multiple sexual assaults on men with dementia who lived in the facility.
According to the local newspaper Repository, the woman would have started recording the sexual assaults on December 1, 2019 and continued until December 4, 2021, the month in which she resigned from her position.
Police added that the woman voluntarily confessed to the activity after her arrest.
The nursing home said it had already notified the families of the alleged attacks and said they are fully cooperating with authorities in the investigation.
The sentencing of the woman related to this case is scheduled for March 11.
