“Every day – says Gregorini – there are nurses, midwives and socio-health workers who in our company are engaged on all fronts to fight the contagion from Covid 19 in the 13 hospitals, in the thousands of square kilometers of the territory: in the Rsa through, in the Usca, in the emergency rooms, in the intensive and sub intensive therapies, in all the care settings, in the clinics, in the birth centers and in all the other hundreds of company branches. They have always demonstrated, and are proving again, that they have a spirit of service and a sense of duty that go far beyond what would be required of them.“.
“They work – continues Gregorini – as a team among themselves, with doctors, with technicians, they replace absent colleagues (in some cases also for Covid, because the infection also affects the staff, like the rest of the population). And they get excited when they manage to make a patient do a video call at home to show him or her loved ones. It is also thanks to these women and men, and their daily commitment, that our health system is withstanding the brunt of the second pandemic wave. They are not heroes, let this be clear, but they are people who roll up their sleeves every moment, as well as the work of art deposited in front of the Apuane hospital represents, to put themselves at the service of others. Always, in any context or moment. With the heart, with the skills they possess, with the anxieties and fears, with the certainties and uncertainties. They are guardians of the dreams of those who turn to our health system to have a health or life problem solved ”.
“They are special operators in their normality that accompanies them in every single gesture – he says again – And every day they perform millions of gestures in favor of those who need them, without ever sparing themselves, sometimes even putting their own destinies and those of loved ones at risk. “Our company – adds Gregorini – in addition to many other professionals, has over 8,000 nurses, midwives and Oss belonging to the department of nursing and midwifery professions. To cope with the emergency, 716 nurses, 410 Oss and 46 midwives have been hired from March to today, for a total of 1172. To these colleagues must be added about 200 other nurses, midwives and oss with labor contracts. In the process of enrollment and already authorized by our general management, we have about 500 other nurses and 300 social and health workers. Nurses, midwives and Oss, in their perpetual evolution, will always be at the side of those who express a need.
