Nurses Arrested in Kuwait Released: Intervention and Support Lead to their Freedom

Nurse arrested during security check released in Kuwait 19 Malayalis who have been in prison for 23 days have been released. The nurses were released following the intervention of Sheikh Talal Al Khalid Al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Union Minister V Muraleedharan intervened in the matter. On September 12, Kuwaiti authorities arrested 60 people who worked at the Bandra clinic and transferred them to their immigration detention center. 34 of them are Indians. 19 people are Malayalis. Kuwaiti authorities said the firm was not authorized to operate a clinic there.
