Numerous emergency calls attributed to heavy smoke development FW-F

Frankfurt am Main fire brigade

Frankfurt am Main – Preungesheim (ots)

(am) A number of emergency calls were received at around 4:45 p.m. on Thursday afternoon (March 30th, 2023) at the control center of the Frankfurt am Main fire brigade. The callers reported a dense cloud of black smoke in the Preungesheim area. However, an exact location could not be determined at the beginning.

The alarmed firefighters were then able to locate the fire on a garden plot between Sigmund-Freud-Strasse and Niederbornstrasse in Preungesheim. Rubbish and a speed-reduced electric vehicle, such as those used by senior citizens, were on fire. The materials used, made of plastic and rubber, caused a lot of smoke to develop. The forces were able to extinguish the remains.

There is no information about the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage. The police are investigating.
