“The number of patients admitted to hospital and the number of deaths is increasing less than you would expect without measures. This could indicate that the measures taken are affecting the rate of spread of the virus. Most deceased patients are in the 80 to 84 age group.

The basis for the number of confirmed patients admitted to the hospital and the deaths from COVID-19 are the reports of the GGDs. There is a delay between the day of death and the day that death is reported. The number of reported deaths per day therefore refers to deaths that occurred over several days.
