In Drenthe, 43 new positive corona tests were added last 24 hours. One person has died with corona, according to daily figures from the National Institute of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM).

With this number of new positive tests, we are below the Drenthe weekly average of almost 54.
In four municipalities in Drenthe, no one has tested positive in the past 24 hours. This was the case in Aa en Hunze, Noordenveld, Westerveld and De Wolden. In the municipality of Emmen again the most new positive test results (18), followed by Hoogeveen (10).

National figures
RIVM received 2245 reports of positive corona tests between Friday morning and Saturday morning. That is considerably less than last Saturday, when the number of new positive tests was 2751.
The average number of reports over seven days has been fluctuating around the same level for some time and fell to 2440 on Saturday. Last Saturday, the average was still 2519 cases per day.
The number of corona deaths rose by six between Friday and Saturday. That does not mean that these people have all died in the past 24 hours, deaths are often reported later.
Hospital admissions
The number of corona patients in Dutch hospitals has decreased by 25 in the past 24 hours. There are 23 fewer patients in nursing wards, while the number of patients in intensive care units fell by 2. A total of 648 patients are now hospitalized with covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.
The National Coordination Center for Patient Distribution (LCPS) reported this on Saturday. The number of patients increased on Friday, after a few days of slight decline.
