The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment has registered 29,255 new corona cases in the past seven days. That equates to an average of 4179 new infections per day. This average has been falling for weeks.
The number of deaths from corona has increased by nineteen in the past 24 hours. That’s not to say that all of these people died in the last 24 hours. If a corona patient dies, this is sometimes only passed on after a while. On Friday, twelve deaths were registered.
Rotterdam
Last 24 hours, 234 people in Rotterdam heard that they had tested positive for corona. In Amsterdam there were 150 and in The Hague 148. In Utrecht and Eindhoven, respectively, 70 and 58 people received a positive test result last 24 hours.
More than 1.6 million people in the Netherlands have tested positive since the start of the outbreak. More than 17,500 people have died from a corona infection.
