This is evident from figures that the two Limburg GGDs announced on Saturday. At least 1,657 people have so far been hospitalized with Covid-19.
Passed away
The number of people tested positive rose by 43 to 4,344. In Limburg, 629 people died from the consequences of the corona virus. That is thirteen more than Friday.
National figures
The coronavirus has now killed at least 4,987 Dutch people. Since Thursday, 94 new reports of deceased patients have arrived at RIVM. 97 new hospitalizations of people with Covid-19 were also reported. A total of 10,951 people have been admitted to Dutch hospitals since the outbreak of the virus. The number of people tested positive rose by 445 to 40,236.

Not completely
These figures do not provide a complete picture of the Covid-19 outbreak. Reports of deaths sometimes only come in after a few days, according to the RIVM. In addition, according to the researchers, the actual number of infections is higher than stated here. Not everyone who may be infected is also tested. This is mainly done for people who are hospitalized and for care providers.
If someone who has not been tested by the virus dies, it will not be reflected in the statistics.
