Number of corona reports increases, even with a fault | Inland

On Tuesday, the RIVM reported 4317 positive tests. Last week, the daily figures were lowest on Monday and Tuesday. This was followed by an increase on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The municipality of Amsterdam counted 244 new cases last 244, 235 positive tests were registered in Rotterdam and 157 cases were added in The Hague. 101 infections came to light in Almere and 77 in Utrecht.

In the past seven days, nearly 37,000 people have tested positive and 486 deaths have been recorded. That is both less than the week before.

The number of deaths from corona increased by 84 last 24 hours. That does not mean that all these people died in the past 24 hours. Such information is sometimes passed on with some delay. 88 deaths were reported on Tuesday.

Since the outbreak began, the coronavirus has been diagnosed in more than 460,000 people in the Netherlands. At the current rate, that number could top half a million over the course of next week. Nearly 8700 people are certain to have died of the virus.
