Hospital occupancy has decreased by 15 percent in a week. Compared to the peak at the end of April (2,706 covid patients), the decrease is already almost 30 percent.
4688 new infections
Up to 10 a.m. this morning, 4,688 new confirmed corona infections were reported to the RIVM. That is 107 more than yesterday. On Wednesdays and Thursdays the number of positive tests is almost always higher than in the rest of the week. This is because people have less testing during the weekend and a ‘catch-up effect’ subsequently arises during the week.
On average, the number of positive corona tests decreases: an average of 4,567 positive tests were registered per day last week. That is 29 percent less than the week before.
