The number of new infections is below the weekly average. RIVM has registered 57,529 positive tests in the past seven days. That equates to an average of 8,218 new infections per day.
Deaths
The number of deaths from corona increased by 11 over the past 24 hours. That is not to say that all these people died in the past 24 hours. If a corona patient dies, this is sometimes only passed on after a while.
Rotterdam had the most new corona cases last 24 hours. 426 new infections came to light in the Maasstad. 324 residents in Amsterdam received a positive test result. The Hague had 238 new cases, Eindhoven 192 and Utrecht 147.
