Number of corona cases up by 482 | Inland

The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) will announce on Tuesday how many cases have been diagnosed in the past week. In the past six days, 3,511 cases were added. Last Tuesday, the counter from the week before was 4036.

The number of infections in Amsterdam-Amstelland rose by 110. 106 of these were in Amsterdam itself. In Rotterdam-Rijnmond, the largest source of fire in the country in recent weeks, 64 cases came to light, including 45 in the municipality of Rotterdam. It is the lowest increase in 24 hours in the Maasstad since the end of July.

Last two weeks per municipality:

Haaglanden registered 69 new patients and Utrecht 31. In Central and West Brabant, 23 people were told that they had tested positive and in Kennemerland 22.

Hospitals

Hospitals are currently treating 165 patients for the coronavirus. That is the highest number since July 1. At the beginning of this month, less than a hundred people were in hospitals.

Of the 165 patients admitted, 39 are treated in an intensive care unit. That is the same as on Saturday and three more than on Sunday. There are 126 corona patients on the nursing wards. From the beginning of July to last week, there were less than a hundred.

The intensive care units also treat 565 people with other conditions. A total of 604 people are in an IC department. That number has been hovering around 600 for more than two months. It means that about 500 ic beds are currently not in use.
