Victoria Nuland, Deputy Head of the US Department of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, will pay a three-day visit to Russia, where she will hold a number of meetings and discuss issues that are topical for the two states and the world. “Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland will travel to Moscow (Russia) on October 11 to meet with high-ranking officials and other interlocutors to discuss a number of bilateral, regional and global issues,” the ministry said.
Further, Nuland is scheduled to visit Lebanon and the UK. So, on October 14, the diplomat will visit Beirut, where he will meet with representatives of civil society and the country’s authorities to discuss economic reforms and elections in 2022.
The next day, the US Undersecretary of State will leave for London. In the British capital, Nuland is reported to “meet with senior officials on a range of global issues.”
We will remind, on Thursday Victoria Nuland held talks with the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrey Ermak. The parties, in particular, discussed the prospects for dialogue in the format of the Normandy Four.
Earlier, the diplomat stated that USA ready to join negotiations on Donbass both in the Normandy format and outside it.
