After a long wait, the time has finally come: The first portable Nubert loudspeaker nuGo! one is in the starting blocks. The Bluetooth speaker had been expected for a long time, and the name was no longer a secret. Now the nuGo! One officially announced at the Nubert Product Preview Show, a novelty live stream on May 5th.
Nubert nuGo! one for on the go
The nuGo! one seems to be a real all-rounder. It is not only a Bluetooth speaker, but also a radio receiver that can receive DAB+ stations and analog FM stations. You can also connect other external sources via a jack input.
The sound has to be right
The nuGo! one Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD and AAC. You can easily stream your music from Spotify, Tidal and Co. via the standards. Nubert promises sound with the “typically authentic Nubert character”. Above all, the extensive space and stage width should make hi-fi enjoyment possible on the go. Nubert particularly emphasizes the low-frequency range: the two drivers are supported by two passive membranes, with which the nuGo! one should reach a lower limit frequency of 55 Hertz.
Prepared for wind and weather
Whether it’s a picnic in the park or a party on the beach: a speaker that is supposed to accompany you everywhere has to be able to withstand a lot. The nuGo! one has splash water protection according to class IPX5. A battery life of up to 24 hours also ensures that you can listen to music for a long time before your little companion gives up the ghost.
Nubert suggests a few other areas of application for the nuGo! one before. The supplied angle tripod and a bright display should make the box with the comfortable fabric cover a good replacement for an alarm clock, for example. Overall, the design is designed for flexibility: the gray mottled acoustic fabric covering the speaker makes it unobtrusive enough to blend in well with any environment. The top, which is protected by an acrylic glass plate, and the metal control knob set fashionable accents.
Operation even without a smartphone
In addition to the simple, chic design, operation is also kept simple. The speaker was deliberately built so that you don’t need a smartphone to use it. The large aluminum knob provides access to all device functions, from source and input selection to volume control. You can also use it to control the integrated radio, including convenience functions such as storing stations.
Price and availability of the nuGo! one
Although Nubert announced in 2021 that it would be working on a portable sound system, the official announcement only came now, in May 2022. Nubert’s website states that delivery should start before Christmas this year. However, the device is still under development. In the meantime, Nubert lists the price: 249.00 euros will be the nuGo! one cost You can now pre-order the speaker in the Nubert shop. Payment is then only due shortly before delivery in winter. Incidentally, Nubert points out that the details of the equipment and technical data can still change before then.
