HEERHUGOWAARD – When NuevoCare moved into the Medical Innovation Center (MIC) in the summer of 2021, it quickly became clear that the ambitions were high. Now, just under 2 years later, there is a unique care center and those ambitions are more than fulfilled. NuevoCare has grown in a short time into a ‘Multi Disciplinary Caregiver’ that offers so much more than just standard GP care.
Where traditional general practices mainly focus on primary care, NuevoCare aims to provide much broader care and therefore also secondary care. Thanks to this combination, waiting times are shorter, contact with the patient is better and clearer, care providers can switch more quickly and healthcare costs can be much lower. In the autumn of 2022, the ‘Medical Specialist Care’ department started and last spring the Cosmetic Care department started.
At NuevoCare, the ‘guests’ must feel at home. The friendly welcome, in a homely atmosphere and while enjoying a free delicious cup of coffee or tea, the accessible and relaxed atmosphere is created. NuevoCare sees that this vision is being received in the way that it hoped, in the positive reactions and the many online reviews in which it is rewarded with maximum scores.
NuevoCare now consists of a team of 18 healthcare professionals who are active within the various disciplines and departments of NuevoCare.
General practice
NuevoCare’s general practice is one of the largest practices in the region. Due to the spacious layout, sufficient availability of care providers and optimal planning, patients can visit quickly.

Medical specialist care
NuevoCare’s Medical Specialist Care department is in full swing. Not only are the treatments and examinations being expanded, two new stylish treatment rooms will also be created within a few weeks. This is to keep waiting times as short as possible and to expand the range where possible.
To research:
● Pulmonary function tests (spirometry): to detect conditions such as asthma and COPD.
● Sleep apnea: Sleep problems can have different causes. To properly map this out, we will give you a ‘device’ with various sensors that monitors your sleep. This measurement allows us to see whether there is sleep apnea and also to see which treatment is most suitable.
Treatments:
Prikangst
● 1 in 5 adults has a fear of needlesticks and does not dare to have blood drawn or to be vaccinated. So this is nothing to be ashamed of. NuevoCare takes your fear seriously and offers you a solution. We use nitrous oxide, which reduces your awareness and fear stimulus. This allows you to get pricked and you don’t really notice it.
Izerinfuus
● You have been diagnosed with anemia. In medical terms, this is called anemia. You notice anemia mainly because you feel tired. Your doctor has agreed with you that your iron deficiency should be treated with an iron infusion. At NuevoCare it is your turn quickly and you will receive the infusion in a pleasant room while enjoying coffee or tea under the guidance of an enthusiastic team.
Vasectomy
● We interrupt the vas deferens during sterilization. The medical term for this is vasectomy. NuevoCare performs this treatment in a relaxed atmosphere and with a lot of experience.
● Short waiting time of about a week.

Cardiology:
● Since 1 June 2022, NuevoCare also has a cardiology department in Heerhugowaard. This mainly focuses on patients with chest pain, thoracic pain and cardiac arrhythmias. Patients are also very welcome at NuevoCare for heart failure and guidance after a heart attack. The cardiology department has numerous research options such as blood tests, ECG, Holter, Ultrasound, Bicycle Ergometry and 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure measurement. For invasive examinations such as cardiac catheterisation, NuevoCare has short lines of communication with various experienced and renowned hospitals.
● There is a waiting period of approximately 1 week.
minor surgery:
Do you have to undergo a treatment such as the removal of a fat lump, cyst or birthmark, the placement or exchange of an IUD or implanon, and do you have to wait too long for this? Then you can also contact us free of charge, even if you are not registered with our general practice. We declare the treatment to your health insurance. Cosmetic Care
NuevoCare’s Cosmetic Care department originated from treatments that arose from the Medical Specialist Care, but do not always have a ‘medical’ character. The treatments that are performed within Cosmetic Care are all done by qualified healthcare providers and all treatments take place under one roof.
