It was reported that an accident of unknown cause occurred in the electricity distribution network of the Natanz Nuclear Plant in Isfahan, Iran in the morning. Ali Akbar Salihi, the head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Agency, described the accident that took place at the Natanz Nuclear Plant this morning as a terrorist attack and said, “We condemn the attack. “We expect the international community and the International Atomic Energy Agency to react to this nuclear terror,” he said.
“NUCLEAR IS A DEFEAT OF THOSE WHO HAVE DIFFICULT FROM OUR DEVELOPMENT”
Evaluating the action against the Natanz Nuclear Plant as the defeat of those who were disturbed by the nuclear development of Iran, Salihi said, “This action is the defeat of those who are disturbed by our nuclear development. Again, this action is the failure of those who are against Iran’s negotiations for lifting the brutal sanctions ”.
“WE WILL CONTINUE OUR NEGOTIATIONS”
Stating that Iran will keep its response to the attack on the Natanz Nuclear Facility reserved, Salihi said, “Despite these attacks, we will continue our nuclear activities and negotiations for the lifting of sanctions.”
On the other hand, Iran Atomic Energy Agency Spokesperson Behruz Kemalvendi stated that they were investigating the cause of the accident and stated that there was no injury or environmental pollution in the accident. In addition, at the facility where the accident occurred, uranium enrichment was started with 146 IR6 centrifuges, which would produce 10 times more uranium on the instructions of President Hasan Rouhani yesterday.
