The war in Ukraine has opened a dangerous and at the same time unexplored chapter for the international community, it is the risk of an escalation with nuclear weapons.
Until weeks ago, experts and even NATO leaders did not believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin would be able to cross that line in the conflict.
Yet Putin did it, at least verbally. He threatened the West to use his nuclear arsenal to win the war or to defend against any aggression directed on his territory.
