Nuclear Forum Switzerland encourages the construction of new nuclear power plants | Weekly review Switzerland KW 30

Planning application submitted for the largest Swiss hydrogen production plant, SAK sets up another five charging stations at Migros and Nuclear Forum Switzerland supports the construction of new nuclear power reactors – these were the most widely read reports from energate messenger Switzerland from week 30.

Alpiq, EW Höfe and Socar Energy Switzerland are planning to build an electrolysis plant with a capacity of up to 10 MW in Freienbach (SZ). This will create the to date in the central Swiss canton largest production facility in Switzerland for green hydrogen. For comparison: the domestic projects already implemented or planned for the production of green hydrogen usually have electrolysis capacities of 2 to 2.5 MW.

the SAK (St.Gallisch-Appenzellische Kraftwerke AG)builds their public charging network for e-mobility to another five Migros branches in Eastern Switzerland. According to the SAK, the new charging stations were installed at Migros in the St-Gallen towns of Wittenbach, Buchs, Wil and Bazenheid as well as in Herblinger Markt in Schaffhausen. This means that 29 Migros branches are already equipped with charging stations for electric cars, writes the SAK.
