Evening falls in Buenos Aires and the wave of Ñublense fans continues to grow in the capital of Argentina.
A cold breeze takes over the atmosphere and many are already preparing to go to try the “Guerrín” pizza and the best cuts of meat in the emblematic “Sigue La Vaca” Restaurant or other barbecues that abound on Corrientes Avenue, Puerto Madero and Withdrawal.
El Rojo floods the city of Buenos Aires and dazzles on the outskirts of the Sheraton Hotel, because the “big banner” announced by more than a thousand Chillanejos fans comes alive with songs, flags and lots of energy.
The Red Devils squad, which has been hosted in the trans-Andean country since Monday, awaiting the duel with Racing, which will be played this Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., at the El Cilindro stadium, for the last date of the group A of the Copa Libertadores.
“It is nice to feel the affection of the fans who have never failed. Who sacrifice to come here and everywhere. We are going to do everything possible to play the best game and qualify”, comments Jaime García, coach of Ñublense, while the public from Chillanejo greets him.
The red devils must beat Racing by 3/0, which is classified with 10 points, but wants to be the leader, and I expect Flamengo to lose by the same score, to finish second and qualify for the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores.
Now, the most realistic option is that they enter the second phase of the Copa Sudamericana if they finish in third place. To do this, if Aucas (4 points) loses to Flamengo, they will automatically qualify.
“We are living a unique experience with my brother Danilo, being here in Argentina supporting our team and waiting for him to achieve something historic, I have met childhood friends from the Luis Cruz Martinez and El Lucero population and there has been a nice atmosphere ”, comments fan Michael Fernandez, who traveled with his brother Danilo.
Claudio Hernandez was in Brazil and Quito supporting Red and now in Buenos Aires.
“Regardless of the casualties that Ñublense has, I think that if each player knows the task they have to fulfill in the system, Ñublense can achieve a good result, I have faith that they will have a great game.”
Walter Moller traveled with his son Benjamín, who is a Ñublense cadet, to witness a historical classification.
“What we hope is that Ñublense plays a great game and hopefully they can continue in the Copa Sudamericana, for which we want Aucas to lose, but we know that the boys can play a great game and have a nice experience with my son.”
“It’s nice to be here and support Ñublense, I’m from the under-15s and the experience in cadets has been nice because of the trips and games and we hope they qualify,” adds “Benja.”
“We hope that Ñublense achieves a great result, we are confident and there is a lot of enthusiasm from the people.”
In the first leg, Racing won 2/0 in Collao, but tonight they are betting on winning against their people to finish as leader.
But the front will have a rival who, due to courage and mysticism, does not stay. Despite the losses of Caroca, Zalazar, Campusano, Rubio and Reyes, he will come out decisive to play with insolence,
“We have nothing to lose and a lot to gain, we will go out to play Ñublense style”, García declares, aware that this Wednesday a red tide will take over the El Cilindro stadium in Avellaneda and all of Ñuble will be waiting for another historic milestone for the club.
