The Governor of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat, believes that educational institutions should prioritize the promotion of regional potentials to their students. In his recent statement, Laiskodat emphasized that schools should provide students with a comprehensive understanding of their regions, including specific sectors like fishery, agriculture, animal husbandry, and tourism. The governor highlights the importance of offering vast knowledge to students, as it encourages them to innovate and create products that will help improve their welfare. Laiskodat also handed over special allocation funds (DAK) and general allocation funds (DAU) worth Rp12.4 billion (around US$845,057) to high schools and vocational schools in Lembata District, NTT. Furthermore, the governor showed support in handling extreme poverty in the district by handing out social assistance in the form of rice.
