NSI Data: Strong Summer Tourism in Southern Black Sea Coast – 2023 Tourist Statistics

The summer for the Southern Black Sea coast was strong, according to NSI data

4,867,926 people are the registered tourists in accommodation with 10 or more beds in Bulgaria for this summer. This is according to the data of the Ministry of Tourism after processing the information of the National Statistical Institute (NSI), quoted by BNR Burgas.

Tourist growth compared to the 2022 summer season is 10%, and compared to the strong 2019 summer season, 4.9%. Domestic tourism is above 2019 levels and the recovery rate of inbound tourism is 90%.

For the period of summer season 2023, the most tourist registrations were reported by the following markets:

Bulgaria 2,344,418 and a growth of 4.8% compared to the summer season 2022. Romania 733,807 and a growth of 5.2% compared to the summer season 2022. Poland 276,221 and a growth of 16.3% compared to the summer season 2022. Germany 199,307 and up 8% from Summer 2022. Czech Republic 138,268 and up 10% from Summer 2022. United Kingdom 150,382 and up 3.8% from Summer 2022. Israel 111,555 and up 31 .5% compared to summer season 2022 Turkey 59,483 and growth 51.2% compared to summer season 2022 Slovakia 41,949 and growth 18.4% compared to summer season 2022
