Ukrainian army is able to liberate occupied cities of Donbass, but does not do so because of the potentially large human casualties.
This was stated by the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov on the air of the talk show “Right to Power”, writes TSN.
He urged Ukrainians not to defame their own army, expressing his conviction that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are 100% ready to defend us. He also confirmed that if necessary, the Ukrainian army is able to liberate the occupied cities, but the cost of such a decision is extremely high.
“Can we take [оккупированные города]? Yes we can. Maybe we can take both Gorlovka and Donetsk. But you need to understand that people are behind this. Who will go to the fact that tens of thousands of people may die. Who will be responsible for this? “- said the NSDC secretary.

Danilov also said that the Russian Federation on the eve of the elections “is building a system for spreading its separatist sentiment” on the south of Ukraine.
