The rugby world is in mourning.
NRL player Troy Dargan was killed in a motorcycle accident on Christmas Eve.
He was 26 years old.
Troy “TJ” Dargan played two games for South Sydney in the NRL, the top rugby league in Australia and New Zealand, three years ago.
Ahead of the coming season, he had signed a two-year contract with Canberra in the league after spending time in the NSW Rugby League, the league in the state of New South Wales.

But on Christmas Eve, the 26-year-old died after being involved in a motorcycle accident in the Cook Islands.
“On behalf of Dargan’s family, it is with heavy hearts that we have to announce the news that “TJ” has tragically passed away. He and his family were on vacation in the Cook Islands where “TJ was involved in a motorcycle accident. TJ will be greatly missed and our thoughts and prayers are with his family”writes Aria Sports Group, which represented Dargan, according to The Guardian.
“Deeply sad”
Troy Dargan turned 26 years old.
He is now mourned by the rugby world.
“The Broncos are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Troy Dargan. our thoughts are with his family, friends and loved ones. Forever a part of the Broncos family,” writes the club Brisbane Broncos who he played for earlier in his career.
“Rest in peace Troy Dargan. The NSWRL would like to send our deepest condolences to Troy’s family”write NSW Rugby League.
