From Monday, only the afternoon block, presented by Louise Ailliet, will remain as a live program. From now on, the morning block ‘NRJ Get Up’ and the evening block ‘NRJ Squad’ will have to do without radio votes and the night program Extravadance will also disappear. Instead, listeners will hear successive hits, as was already the case during the weekend. However, the news bulletins will be retained, given the media decree so requires.
“It is not easy to make radio if the figures do not follow,” says Tom Klerkx, managing director of audio at Mediahuis, against ‘De Standaard’. NRJ Vlaanderen was launched in 2018 and focused on the target group 14 to 44 years old. The channel is a collaboration between Mediahuis and Play Media. At the time, NRJ started with five employees. Julie Vermeire, among others, became one of the billboards.
