Musicians and artists support the campaign of NAA and the Customs Agency against gambling and drug addiction among teenagers, which will be given a kind of new beginning with a big concert on August 16 in Nessebar.
B.T.R., Torino and Pasha, DARA and 100 kilos will sing about life without addictions this Friday from 20.30 on the open stage in the Old Town, next to the Fortress Walls. The host of the concert is actress Gergana Stoyanova, and later in the evening she will be joined on stage by actor Filip Bukov. The event takes place with the support of the Municipality of Nessebar.
“The campaign focuses on informing young people about the risks of everyday life. The risks of drug use and addiction today are staggering. The problem is complex and goes beyond the boundaries of schools and families, because after the age of 12-13, children spend a large part of their time outside alone,” commented Stefan Bakalov, who is the head of the “Combating drug trafficking” department at the Customs Agency. and founder of the campaign “You are not alone“.
“Our aim is to reach children and youth in all possible ways, popular among these age groups. On August 16 in Nessebar, we will do it with a concert in which they will hear our messages from their favorite artists. Gambling addiction is on an alarming scale – 39,400 persons are currently registered in the NRA Register for persons vulnerable to gambling. Unfortunately, more and more young people are gambling,” adds Anna Mitova – director of the Communications Directorate at the National Revenue Agency.
Earlier in the day on Friday, there will be presentations on the topics of drug and gambling addiction, as well as a demonstration with dogs trained in drug detection. They will be held in the “Artium” center in Nessebar in front of high school students.
The campaign “You are not alone” has been organized in Bulgaria for 23 years with the aim of popularizing the risks of drug addiction and the possibilities for dealing with it.
With the concert this Friday, the two revenue agencies are joining forces for prevention among adolescents and planning a series of initiatives to inform not only young people, but also the general public.
