NPO Radio 2 confirms: Grow is Song festival song by Jeangu Macrooy | NOW

NPO Radio 2 DJ Bart Arens has confirmed the song Grow, that leaked Wednesday through music platform Apple Music, is indeed the song with which Jeangu Macrooy goes to the Eurovision Song Contest. The DJ played the song in the afternoon in his program.

It was previously announced that the Songfestival entry would be announced on Wednesday evening. The number would be added The world moves on be played.

The song and the accompanying video clip could already be heard and seen on Wednesday morning through Apple Music. The media files were removed from the music platform shortly afterwards.

In the calm Grow, in which influences of gospel can be heard, Macrooy sings about the uncertainty associated with growing up. The album opens with sounds from a slide projector, which were also heard in the teaser that Macrooy Monday put online.

“I can say that it is the most beautiful thing I have made so far”, Macrooy told about the song in earlier One today.

Although Macrooy finds his participation in the Songfestival exciting, he still dares to dream of a first place. “Cornald recently told me that Ireland has won three times in a row, so … Three times are not necessary, but twice would be incredibly cool if it works!”
