LUBBEEK. You should call a cat a cat (and not a dog), as you should call a deer a roe (not a deer). Our Chef Fauna pointed that mistake out to us two days ago, this has now been corrected. Though the mistake had the benefit of the pun. After all, the deer (the deer) was in Ertvelde. Only now do we realize that there was also a possibility with the deer in the Meetjesland. Reetjeland, yes.

But sometimes it’s better to play it safe and we won’t guess which tree under this parasol has some shade. After all, the Chef Fauna is also Chef Flora. Moreover, not the green, but the blue-white-red immediately caught the eye. A parasol (not an umbrella), made for people, but intended here to protect against the scorching sun of the past few weeks.

The lawn is beautifully mowed, the soil is free of weeds, the corn is growing, the driveway is kept clean, the beds are watered, the plants are shaded. Little can happen. If only no deer would come to disturb this peace. Or, worse for our Chef Fauna, a deer.
