Now you get an electric Volvo SUV 100,000 kroner cheaper

(Elbil24): Elbil24 recently tested the sporty SUV Volvo C40 in competition with the Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback. Here, C40 received praise for fantastically good seats, fast acceleration and a lot of power.

The electric car is new in a market where it will compete against the aforementioned Q4 e-tron Sportback and popular SUVs such as the Tesla Model Y and Ford Mustang Mach-E.

The C40 has been on the market for only a few months, but now Volvo chooses to come up with five different equipment variants of the model.

Do as others do

Until now, Volvo has only offered the C40 with the highest level of equipment and four-wheel drive, but now you can choose between five different versions and price ranges.

Including a significantly cheaper version: Volvo C40 Recharge Core.

– With the new variant, we make the C40 Recharge available in a new price range, says PR and communications manager Erik Trosby in Volvo Car Norway in a press release.

The fact that car manufacturers offer a cheaper version of existing models is nothing new. Polestar 2 did the same almost six months ago. Previously also has Hyundai Kona and Jaguar I-Pace received significantly cheaper versions.

Saves over 100,000

The most affordable version of the C40 is now available from NOK 453,900. Then you get the model with rear-wheel drive and the name Core.

In comparison, you have to pay at least NOK 558,900 for the top model with the highest equipment level: Recharge Twin Ultimate with four-wheel drive. It is the latter model Elbil24 previously has tested.

– The C40 is delivered in several equipment levels, at favorable prices and with both service and insurance included, says Trosby.
