Now you can rent the “Friends” apartment

One of the biggest highlights of the year will without a doubt be the big “Friends” reunion.

This week, fans could finally unleash the jubilation, after the premiere date for when Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer appears together on HBO Max became known.

May 27, it finally happens, and the fans, who have been waiting ever since the last episode aired in 2004, are very happy. Warner Media has called it a special edition that can be called “the one where everyone came together again”.

Now, however, fans can get an even greater insight into the scenery. You can now rent Rachel and Monica’s apartment.

Cheap night

According to CNN has namely Booking.com and The Friends Experience joined forces and recreated the recognizable apartment, renting it out to lucky fans.

For the neat sum of 19.94 dollars, which is equivalent to 166 Norwegian kroner, you can stay in the apartment one night and experience what is described as “The ultimate overnight stay”. The cheap price should, according to CNN, be a tribute to the year the series was released, ie in 1994.

The 18-room apartment has a number of props from the series, and although “Friends” was recorded in a studio in Los Angeles, the apartment can be rented in New York, the same place where the series took place.

“Home” to friends

Fans will have the opportunity to experience Ross’ infamous sofa, look through Rachel and Monica’s purple door and take life easy in the armchairs that belonged to Chandler and Joey’s apartment – or play football as the latter duo did reasonably often in their apartment.

“It will leave guests gasping OH. MY. GAWD », it says in the ad. The well-known line resonated with especially the guest character Janice.

Reunited

In February last year, eager fans were finally able to unleash the jubilation, when it was confirmed that all from the group of friends of six appears together on HBO Max.

Several of the series’ big stars have this week shared posts on their social media channels, where they can reveal that the premiere – which “everyone” has been waiting for – will be on 27 May. This means that it is only barely two weeks until the gang will see each other again.

“It’s official! (…) Can we be more gira ?! » wrote Jennifer Aniston, who played Rachel Green in the series, on Instagram, with clear reference to one of Chandler Bing’s jokes.

Guests

According to Hollywood Reporter a long list of people who want to make guest appearances has also been released – and the list is not modest.

Here we find, among others, David Beckham, Justin Bieber, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Lady Gaga, Kit Harington, Tom Selleck, Reese Witherspoon and Malala Yousafzai.

Several media, including The Independent, has previously written that the six actors will gather on the original set of the series, but that you will not see them back in their beloved roles.

The actors will instead reminisce back to the time when the series was recorded.

The six actors will, according to the industry website Variety earn at least $ 2.5 million each. This is equivalent to a staggering 24 million Norwegian kroner.
