Now you can find your lost Galaxy even if it is offline

If you have a Samsung device and you lose it, you can use the “Find my phone” feature to help you find it.

You can even unlock your device if you’ve forgotten your password, PIN, or pattern if you’ve set up your Samsung account.

But what if the lost device has no internet connection? Samsung has added a new feature to «Find my mobile» that is assisted by other Galaxy smartphone users to help you find your lost device.

According to a screenshot shared by Weinbach, this offline search is activated by going to the offline search page and activating the option at the top of the page.

As Samsung explains, “This will allow your phone to be found by other people’s Galaxy devices even when it is not connected to a network. This will also allow your phone to be used to find lost Galaxy devices that may be nearby. You can also find watches and headphones if this was the last device they were connected to. “

In other words, If you’ve lost your Galaxy device and it doesn’t have an internet connection, another Galaxy smartphone owner might find it. Likewise, if someone has lost a Galaxy device and you pass by, you could help find it.

For the moment, this functionality is not yet available to everyone. We assume that it is a matter of time before it spreads to all regions.

Apple already implemented similar functionality with iOS 13 that allows you to find an iPhone that is without an Internet connection.

Using Bluetooth, lost iPhone offline can be found by other iPhone users. On an iPhone it is activated by going to Settings> Click on your name at the top of the screen> Search> Find my iPhone> Find offline.
