Epic Games’ relatively recent game store front is constantly getting new features, and last in line is official support for modifications and a gradual implementation of achievements.
The former appeared on Friday night, when the mech game Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries received support for user-created modifications. A bit like on Steam, you can thus download new features and changes to your games by going to mod-fanen i Epic Games Store.
The mod support is currently only in an early beta phase, which means, among other things, that you can not currently comment or leave reviews on the modifications. On the other hand, you can give them a thumbs up if you like what you are served, which is hopefully an ever so small indication of quality.
Certain games on the Epic Games Store may begin to display achievements as you unlock them.
This is an early version of the feature and you can expect to see changes & adjustments.
We’ll have more info to share on achievements in the future, so stay tuned! pic.twitter.com/80dnoLYegV

Epic Games Store also smells of achievements, and already now the first games have received rewards support for performing unique actions in their games. This is also a feature that is in an early stage, and it will take a while before this is something all games will offer.
In the time ahead, Epic Games has also said that they will offer other long-awaited services such as the opportunity to give gifts to other players and other social functions.
