Although Evercade already has a console to connect to the television, they have now also announced the Evercade EXP. The first copies are expected to be shipped in the winter of this year. This retro handheld can be pre-ordered from September 6. It can then be ordered in the Netherlands and Belgium via Bol.com and Funstock.
While the Evercade EXP looks like a Nintendo Switch or a Steamdeck, it’s completely different. First, an official old-fashioned cartridge must be inserted into the console. These cartridges are for sale through the aforementioned resellers. Second, you can only play countless Retro games on it.
There is also a Evercade EXP Limited Edition available. When purchasing this version you also get a poster, two cards, Cardridges with games from Toaplan and Irem Arcade, a hard storage bag, a USB to USB-C cable and a key ring in the shape of a cardridge.
