Jaipur: In Rajasthan, the High Court has no longer considered four words as caste indicators. In this regard, the High Court has given a big decision regarding the cases registered under SC ST Act. According to the decision of the High Court, these words have now been removed from the category of caste indicators. While hearing the hearing in the High Court, the bench of Justice Virendra Kumar has given this important decision in this case.

The bench of Justice Virendra Kumar of Rajasthan High Court heard the cases registered under the SC ST Act. After hearing the arguments of the lawyers in this case, the Justice while giving his verdict said that words like ‘Bhangi, Neech, Bhikhari and Mangani’ are not indicative of caste. The High Court has removed these words from the category of caste indicator. Regarding this matter, some petitioners had challenged the charges under the SC/ST Act in the High Court.

During this, the lawyer argued that these abuses were not given with the intention of humiliating the defendant, but for unfair measure. The counsel for the accused said that the words used in this case are not caste based nor is it an allegation that the petitioner is aware of the caste of the government employees. Let us tell you that during the action to remove encroachment, there was a dispute between the four petitioners and the public servants. After this, this case was registered against him.
