The youngest child of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), Kaesang Pangarep is currently the owner and President Director of Persis Solo. In fact, several years ago he could only be one of the spectators when Wong Solo’s favorite team competed.

He admitted that he was often invited to watch Persis Solo matches by his father, Jokowi, who at that time was still the mayor of Solo.
“In the past, you were often invited by your father. At that time, you were still the mayor of Solo, around 2007-2010,” said Kaesang at the jersey launch event at Swiss-Belhotel Gilingan, Solo, Thursday (21/7/2022).
He reminisced about moments in the stadium. One of them is when Jokowi gets satire through chant or singing fans to help fund Persis Solo. Kaesang also memorized the song.
“Come on, come on Jokowi, Persis Solo be prepared (funded). I memorized it, because I heard it myself (the fans chant about Jokowi). Indeed, father never make it (funding),” he said.
In addition, Kaesang also remembers the special foods sold in the stadium, one of which is fried tofu packaged in plastic. However, with the latest regulations, traders are now prohibited from entering the stadium.
“Know the boxes, it’s really salty,” he said.
In the Kaesang era, Persis Solo was able to penetrate League 1 after a dozen years only dwelling in League 2. Even now Persis Solo is developing junior and women’s clubs. Kaesang also plans to build a capable training center.
