TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – WhatsApp has introduced a new tool to allow users to create their own custom stickers. This feature is rolling out for WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp for Desktop platform users on MacBook and PC.
The sticker maker feature is instantly accessible on WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp for Desktop users will likely get it in the coming weeks. While stickers have been available on the platform for several years, the ability to create your own custom stickers is nothing new.
Previously, users had to use third-party apps to create their own stickers before sending them within the Meta app. However, it is now available directly, without any third-party applications, and to use it make sure the WhatsApp Web application is the latest version.
After using the latest version, open the chat where the user wants to send a custom sticker. Click the attach icon in the chat bar (paperclip icon) and then select the sticker option. Sticker maker options are available for group chats and individual chats on WhatsApp Web.
Once the New Sticker option is selected via the attach button, users of the app with the handset logo can select any image saved to their computer to edit and customize. Select the photo you want to send as a sticker, and edit it on WhatsApp using the tools offered.
WhatsApp allows users to add emojis, stickers from the sticker panel, and even add text. WhatsApp users can also draw, or crop them if desired. Options to undo and redo edit actions are also available.
After the custom sticker has been successfully edited and created, the user WhatsApp can select the Send option available at the bottom right of the chat screen.
