Now live in the video: Air Canada aircraft has to make an emergency landing in Madrid

Chassis damaged: Air Canada aircraft landed in Madrid

An Air Canada plane had to make an emergency landing in Madrid at Barajas Airport in Madrid. Like the newspaper El Pais writes, there are 128 people on board the Boeing 767-300. Accordingly, an engine and a chassis of the machine have failed. The landing took place shortly after 7 p.m.

Previously, the plane circled Spain to burn fuel. A spokesman for the airline told Sky News: “The aircraft is made to fly with an engine, and our pilots are trained for this situation.”

A Spanish Army fighter jet examined the damage to the passenger plane from the air. According to the newspaper “El Pais”, the plane had “only” lost one wheel, which is why the landing was feasible.

A drone sighting on Monday afternoon ensured that 26 flights had to be diverted at “Barajas” airport. However, it is unclear whether there is a connection between the two incidents. (CMA)
