The Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic today at a meeting prematurely terminated the powers of the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Zhanybek Abirov.
Recall, today, March 27, it became known that Zhanybek Abirov decided to surrender his mandate after a scandalous fight. The fact that he filed an application with a request to terminate the deputy mandate ahead of schedule was confirmed by the CEC to Vesti.kg.
Abirov himself explained on his Facebook page that after the incident he had no moral right to be a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh. In accordance with the Constitutional Law “On Elections of Deputies of the JK”, the re-election of a member of parliament in the Leninsky single-mandate constituency must take place within two months from the date of the vacancy.
