– The high pressure that has given very nice weather on May 17 and the days before, is about to move southeast, so that it no longer has its center over southern Scandinavia, StormGeo meteorologist on duty, Olav Erikstad, tells TV 2 .
This means that virtually all parts of the country that had glorious May 17 weather can expect grayer and wetter days ahead.
– It will probably take some time before some real precipitation comes in, but it will probably gradually cloud over, perhaps especially in Western Norway. Eastern Norway, it stays nice a little longer.
– Applies to enjoy the week
In summary, the meteorologist says that it will already be cloudy and wetter in Western Norway and Southwest Norway on Wednesday, while from Friday night gray and wet weather is expected in Eastern Norway.
– Thursday and Friday seem to be nice, warm days in Eastern Norway, with over 20 degrees. But from Friday night and beyond next week, it looks quite wet in Eastern Norway as well. There is precipitation on the way in now, says Eriksrud and adds:
– So it’s important to enjoy the week before that.

For southern and western Norway, on the other hand, rain is expected as early as Wednesday, even though temperatures seem to be holding up.
– It is raining on the way there, and it hits the Southwest first. So in Sørlandet it may rain a little now, but it is probably not a question of the large amounts of precipitation. In fact, this also applies to the whole of Western Norway in the next few days.
– Locally heavy rainfall
Although large amounts of precipitation are not expected in total, the meteorologist warns that there may be showers in some places that make it feel like a real storm.
– There may be large amounts of precipitation locally, but not to the extent that we have issued a warning. But if the rain hits exactly where you are, it can rain quite a lot.
For Møre- and Romsdal, the weather actually seems to be somewhat lighter than for the rest of Western Norway, according to the meteorologist. The Trondheim area can also get away cheaply.
– There is not as much precipitation there as elsewhere in the region, but also there will be a little more gray weather than there has been. Trondheim also seems to get rid of most of this gray and wet weather in the coming days.
From the weekend, on the other hand, the weather change will also be there.
– It actually looks pretty bad in Trøndelag from the weekend and at the beginning of next week.
Good news to Northern Norway
However, the region that did not run away with this year’s 17 May weather, northern Norway, can expect good news from the meteorologist.
– It’s turning around. You get away from low pressure and fronts, and the weather will be better in this part of the country than it has been.
In fact, it can be just as beautiful days in the north now.
– It will be both warmer and more sunny, even if it is not typically warm and quiet good weather. But there will be little precipitation and periods of sunshine, and on the fine days it will be midnight sun north of Tromsø.
