Britney Spears denies the rumors and assures that she has no intention of returning to the music industry. Rumors that she is planning a return to the studio are nothing more than “rubbish” said the (former) pop star. According to some US media, she consulted some songwriters, including Julia Michaels and Charlie XCX, for her tenth studio album. «Just to clarify that most of the news is rubbish!!!» the singer wrote on Instagram. “They keep saying that I approach random people to make a new album…I will never go back to the music industry!!!” She added that she just writes music for fun and also revealed that she has written more than 20 songs for other artists in the past two years. «I’m a ghostwriter and honestly I have so much fun!!!» wrote the singer known for hits like “Baby One More Time,” “Oops!… I Did It Again,” and “Toxic.”
In August 2022, Spears released her first unreleased song since being released from conservatorship, a situation that affected nearly every aspect of her life. “Hold Me Closer” – a duet with Sir Elton John – marked Spears’ return to music after a six-year hiatus. Fans have been clamoring for her return to music, and while she has previously hinted that she is wary of returning to the industry, this is the first time she has outright ruled it out. Last year she published her memoir, titled “The Woman in Me” which details her life under conservatorship and she reveals she had a miscarriage while she was dating Justin Timberlake.
