Netflix announces now that the streaming service is in the process of rolling out spatial sound to several of its own productions.
Spatial sound is a technology that makes the sound more realistic by, for example, it being possible to determine from which direction a speaker’s voice comes from. Not least if the viewer uses headphones.
According to Netflix, the spatial sound does not require any special equipment and is available via all Netflix subscriptions.
The first Netflix productions to get spatial sound include Stranger Things 4, Red Notice and The Witcher writes The Verge.
