Battlefield 2042 will soon be available via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play at no additional cost. This was confirmed by EA on Thursday, in a new YouTube video that you can watch above.
The shooter arrives on subscription services in connection with the launch of the third season of content. EA hasn’t set an exact release date, but things suggest the season will kick off towards the end of November / December.
Next month, the developer will also be launching free trial periods for Battlefield 2042. These will arrive on all platforms where the game is available, but it has not yet been confirmed what and for how long you can play.

Elsewhere in the video, EA detailed the revisions and changes coming to Battlefield 2042 over the course of the game’s next two seasons. The third season will introduce a more traditional class systembut the specialists are certainly not disappearing entirely.
The team has the content plan ready until the fourth season. After that time, even more content awaits us, EA promises, but we still don’t know exactly what’s on.
