A thousand and a half fewer jobs, cut back on wages, the austerity package at AUA is taking shape. On Wednesday evening, the Supervisory Board was presented with information on how the Lufthansa subsidiary will survive the corona crisis and – flared up with millions of state aid – should be flown again. Crucial decisions will be made on May 20 by the Supervisory Board. State money is currently being negotiated on a daily basis, both in Austria and with and with the mother in Germany. Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) said that nothing had changed in Austria’s goals, which included a location guarantee. A plausible continuation plan must be available by May 18 at the latest in order to receive the auditor’s certificate.
