Now 49 countries are affiliated with the EU system behind the Coronacheck app

A total of 49 countries worldwide now accept the QR codes of the CoronaCheck-app. With the EU Digital Corona Certificate (DCC) you can demonstrate that you have been vaccinated, have recovered from corona or have recently been tested negative for corona.

The DCC started on 1 July. The system was set up to make travel easier during the corona pandemic.

Evaluation regulations in spring

The system is subject to regulations that expire on July 1 next year, but may be extended. This will be looked into in the spring, when the European Commission issues a report on the functioning of the certificate.

“I am pleased to see that the number of countries seeking to join the EU system continues to grow,” thus European Commissioner Didier Reynders. More countries may soon join the system, says European Commissioner Olivér Várhelyi. “I look forward to seeing more of our neighbors linking up as soon as possible.”

Countries can impose additional requirements

Countries can always have extra requirements or adjust the rules for travelers from another country where there are too many infections.

The government advises Dutch travelers to visit the site before they travel Point to Journey to check.
