285 people are now infected with the coronavirus in France, 73 more than on Tuesday, announced Health Director Jérôme Salomon Wednesday evening during his daily press conference. The death toll is still four dead on national territory.

15 people are “in resuscitation” this Wednesday, said the director of health to the press.
In detail, Jérôme Salomon said that 172 cases were part of an identified chain of contamination, while 65 cases remained without an identified chain of exposure.

13 regions concerned, including Guyana
13 French regions are therefore affected this Wednesday, including Guyana for the first time since the start of the epidemic.
Several sources of contamination are now identified by the health authorities. 30 new people tested positive for COVID-19 in Haute-Savoie, 10 others in Haut-Rhin, and 14 in Morbihan. Finally, 11 cases are linked to the organized trip to Egypt.
Seven regions report at least ten cases: Auvergne-Rhône Alpes, Bourgogne Franche-Comté, Brittany, Grand Est, Ile-de-France and Hauts-de-France.

99 cases in Oise, zero patient still not found
99 cases are confirmed in the department of Oise, the largest source of contamination in the country. However, these cases are now spread across eight different regions.
“We still do not know who is the zero patient in the Oise,” said Jérôme Salomon, adding that investigations are continuing in the department in an attempt to identify the zero patient at the origin of this hotbed of contamination.
The day before, Jérôme Salomon had announced 212 cases of contamination in 13 French regions during its daily update, as well as four deaths.
Emmanuel Macron will meet Thursday afternoon at the Elysée the main actors of public and private research engaged in the fight against the coronavirus. Thirty doctors, scientists and laboratory managers are expected to “take stock of the state of the virus and solutions” to deal with the crisis.
